Review: The Skin Food Tomato Whitening Emulsion

Hello beautiful people!!

I'm back with another skin care review ^^. If you read my blog a lot (I Hope...) you'll know that I am constantly fighting my acne problems and I have a lot of blemish marks from those days. In order to diminish those blemish marks aside from spot treatment I like to use whitening products like whitening serum or moisturizer. So my purpose on whitening products is not to make my skin whiter but to fade those pesky blemish marks. Okay... Onto the review now... To take care those blemish marks I was very interested in The Skinfood Tomato Line since I there are a lot of good review on this products. I bought The Skinfood Tomato Whitening Serum and Emulsion. The serum goes out first since I use it more often but the emulsion last much much longer because I didn't use much.

Product Description:
Food Theraphy, special food for the skin to eat. Contains lots of nutritive and energetic ingredients such as fresh plants, fruits and etc. to maintain our bodies healthy and lively. This emulsion is packed with fresh tomato extracts which contains a variety of natural organic acids, vitamins and minerals to clear and clarify dark skin.

Packaging:
I think the packaging is very cute!! With an opaque glass bottle and label with tomatoes on it. The only problem is that I can't see how much products is left. Since the emulsion is in a glass bottle I can't take it for travelling but I don't normally take a whole bottle for travels (if it's big). The bottle has a twist cap and a plastic plug on the inside. It's a bother so I get rid of the plug. To dispense the emulsion I just dab the bottle on my palm.

The Emulsion:
The Skinfood Tomato Emulsion has a light texture which is suitable for my oily combination skin. It has a milky color and  it also has a flowery scent to it. The emulsion absorbs quite fast and gives my skin a slightly dewy finish. From the ingredients list this emulsion contains a lot of moisturizing properties and it does moisturize my skin wonderfully. The only problem is I have to be careful on how much I use. If I use a bit more I tends to get a small acne here and there (TAT) and that's is not good!! So for this emulsion less is more beneficial on my skin. I also stop using this emulsion for a few months because I had another acne problems and I repeat!! I can't use whitening products when I had acne problems!! It aggravates the acne!! I don't know about you but that was the case with me. As for the blemish marks I notice that my blesmish marks has lighten after about 6 weeks or so and as for any other products you have to be patient and diligent in order to see the results.

What I Like:
- absorbs fast
- moisturizes well
- lighten blemish marks
- nice flowery scent

What I Don't Like:
- have to be carefull not using it too much
- sometimes causes minor breakout (for people with acne-prone skin)
