Review: Belo Essentials Smoothening Whitening Body Bar

Even though yesterday I've already made 3 blog post updates to day I'm gonna share another review post!! And maybe in the afternoon I'm gonna make another post about my latest crochet goodies... Pssstttt... I'm making a few for an upcoming giveaway too.... Today's review is about this Philippines whitening soap from Belo Essential and the one that I'm gonna review is the Belo Essentials Smoothening Whitening Body Bar (the pink one). I've actually try the blue one but I can't make a review about it because I lost all the pictures . Phillippines skin care and beauty products have become quite a hit and popular in Indonesia especially the whitening products and currently I am very interested about their products and especially on The Skin Spell and Snoe Beauty Inc. I have to save money first though because I have to buy it directly from them. So let's continue shall we??

 

Product Description:

A revitalizing body bar that smoothens skin as it visibly whitens in just 7 days with its DermWhite PLUS -- a dual action whitening technology that has a combination of Glutathione, Kojic Acid, Gigawhite and Skin Vitamins. Inhibits melanin build-up and transfer to the skin surface for faster, more visible whitening. Cleanses gently and prevents dryness for silky soft skin. Soothes and shields skin from irritation with Chamomile extract. Exfoliating microbeads gently slough off dead skin, while Micro-encapsulated Technology encloses active ingredients in microspheres to ensure maximum whitening power. Ingredients:

Sodium Palmitate, Salicylic Acid, Fragrance, Glucono-delta-lactone, Titanium Dioxide, Sodium Lactate, Glycerin, Butylated Hydroxytoluene, Water, Panthenol, Chamomile Exract, Tocopheryl Acetate, Polyethylene, D&C Red no. 30 Talc Lake, Hydrolyzed Prunus Domestica, Alpha-Arbutin, Butylene Glycol.

The Soap:

The one that I got is the small 65 gr one and it fits perfectly on my palm. This soap is one of the most nice scented soap that I've ever smell too!! It has a nice flowery scent but it's no wonder since fragrance is the third on the ingredients list. This soap has a tiny pink beads that exfoliate the skin. This soap also lathers really well and even though it has reduced into almost paper thin it still good to use!! #stingy

My Thoughts:

I've been using the soap for about 3.5 weeks and the results are pretty okay. I didn't notice any upgrade in my skin tones since I have quite a pale skin but the one thing that I notice is that it lightens my scratch marks yess I scratch my skin until it leaves a scar! It's a bad habit of mine that I've have try for years to cure!! I mean who doesn't like to scratch an itch right?? But I guess I do over scratch myself sometimes and those scratch leaves an ugly dark pigmentation on skin. It still dark though but not as dark as before.

I also notice that my skin begins to exfoliate after about 8 days of using this soap but the exfoliation is quite minor and even though this soap slightly dries my skin but nothing that a good body lotion can't handle. I usually leaves this soap for about 1-2 minutes before I rinse, I should've leave it longer but I didn't want to catch a cold since I don't like to shower with warm water. While I wait I usually scrubs lightly here and there to get rid of those dead skin. The soap also doesn't melts easily so I don't have to cut it into a few pieces because I'm afraid it'll get soggy.

For those who want more obvious result I don't think this soap is for them because even though this soap whitens it whitening effects takes very very gradually. Oh I've also mention before that since this soap is slightly drying I have to continue with a good moisturizing body lotion right? Make sure that not only it moisturize it also contains sunscreen. I prefer the one with higher SPF at morning or day and use another one with sunscreen in the afternoon plus another one in the evening before bed. Yeahh.. I have many body lotion products at home #LOL.

I think I've also read somewhere that some people use this as a facial wash but since the products is not intended for face I didn't dare to use it on my face. Besides Belo also has a facial wash product too.

What I Like:

- Nice scent.

- It does not melt easily.
- Doesn't cause any stinging or itchiness.
- Gradually lighten skin.

What I Don't Like:

- Slightly dries my skin but I always use body lotion afterwards anyway.

- The micro beads pricks my skin
