Review: NYX Xtreme Lip Cream in XLC10 Natural

Hi!!!

Lately the raining season has been quite bad so it's better to stay at home right? How about I share you another lippie review? Interested? It's NYX Xtreme Lip Cream in XLC10 Natural and it's said to be a combination of three lip products in one!! I bought it a few months back from Cherry Culture via 27 Shop.

Description:
Beautify your lips with this velvety rich lip cream that provides extreme pigmentation with a silky and glossy finish. This lip cream is a hybrid of lipstick, lip gloss, and lip stain with intense pigmentation all in one.

Packaging:
NYX Xtreme Lip Cream comes in an opaque plastic tube and a doe foot applicator.

Texture:
NYX Xtreme Lip Cream has a nice formula, it's not sticky and moisturizing on my lips. After the Lip Cream wears off my lips still feels soft and it's kinda surprising because I thought it'll make my lips dry like NYX Soft Matte. Must be something in the formula I guess... Oh and it's smell quite funky but not too noticeable unless I smell the bottle directly (Why did I smell it anyway?!?!?)

Color:
Natural leans towards light pink beige nude color and it's definitely paler than my natural lip color or most people natural lip color for that matter. I first saw this particular shade on my friend who has a pale skin and she looks really pretty and cute. The color is very opaque and pigmented so a little goes a long way. The finishing of this Lip Cream is matte but also glossy if that makes any sense to you.

Swatch:
I begin to like a nude lipstick but apparently this particular shade did not work for me. I think I look too pale and weird. This particular shade is quite streaky so smoothing it out was quite stricky. I did try another Xtreme Lip Cream at NYX counter and it wasn't as streaky as the Natural Shade so I'm guessing the streakiness depends on the shade. Overall I'm not too fond of this Lip Cream on its own but I like to use it to tone down a lipstick color or use it to make an ombre lips.

Longevity:
The Xtreme Lip Cream is quite long wearing, after about 2-3 hours of eating and drinking it's pretty much still there although the glossines has gone and I usually reapply.

Ingredients:
Ricinus Communs Seed Oil, Polybutene, Pentaerythrityl Tetraisostearate, Diisostearyl Malate, Polyglyceryl-2 Triisostearate, Synthetic Bees Wax, Silica Dimethyl Silylate, Tocopheryl Acetate, BHA, Fragrance, MAY CONTAIN: Mica (CI 77019), Titanium Dioxide (CI 77891), FD&C Yellow No.5 Al Lake (CI 19140), FD&C Blue No.1 Al Lake (CI 42090), Iron Oxide Red (CI 77491), Iron Oxide Yellow (CI 77492), Iron Oxide Black (CI 77499), D&C Red No.6 (CI 15850), D&C Red No.7 (CI 15850), D&C Red No.7 Ca Lake (CI 15850), D&C Red No.28 Al Lake (CI 45410)

  1. Pretty color, I just bought some of the butter glosses. They are pigmented even for those. I will definitely have to try the xtreme :)
