Review: Kose Softymo White Cleansing Oil

Hi..!!

Another review that I'm gonna make tonight and then I'm gonna continue watching Doctor Who! He he he he... I'm staring a Doctor Who and Sherlock Marathon this month and gonna indulge myself in a fandom madness #Evil Laugh mwahahaha.... Okay stop it girl.. Continue to the designated review now... I've been
doing the double cleansing method for almost two years now and I can honestly say although I still have the occasional acne problem it's far better than the previous year though.. I still have acne popping here and there but hey! One acne popping is more bearable than 10 acne popping!! I've also been using Kose Softymo Speedy Cleansing Oil for some time and on my forth repurchase I decided that I want to try another type of Kose Softymo Cleaning Oil and I opted for the "White" kind. I have to admit the "White" on the name is what attracts me because I kinda hope that it could help lighten my acne marks although deep down I'm quite skeptical.

Description:
Kose Softymo White Cleansing Oil can remove make up and dirt effectively. It removes old keratin and make-up quickly. Orange oil and rice bran oil help to emboss heavy make-up like stubborn water-proof mascara and keeping skin moisturize.

Size: 230 ml

Suitable for:All Skin Types

Packaging:
The Cleansing Oil comes in a yellow plastic pump bottle with a removable stopper to prevent accidental pumping. I prefer this type stopper instead of the twist lock pump thingy because it can immediately stop the pump, with the twist thingy the product have to comes out again before I lock the pump. On the other side though I tend to loose or misplace the stopper itself so each has its own disadvantage I guess. I think the oil comes in a refill too but it's quite hard to find. Well... Even I have to buy this cleansing oil online....

Ingredients:
Oryza Sativa (Rice) Bran Oil, Mineral Oil, Sorbeth-30 Tetraoleate, Triethyl Hexanoine, Cyclomethicone, Orange Oil, Tocopherol, Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil, Glycerin, Polyglyceryl-2 Diisostearate, Trilaureth-4 Phosphate, Water, Phenoxyethanol.

The Oil:
The oil has a yellowish color and the texture is thin, almost runny and not feel like oil at all. It's runnier than he Speedy Cleansing Oil and Biore Cleansing Oil. It has a citrus scent that reminds me of Mama Lemon which I honestly didn't like. It kinda make me feel like I'm cleansing my face with a dish soap but hey it's just me.

How I Use It:
  1. I put about two pumps on my dry palm and then massage my face with the oil. (Remember to use dry hands and face otherwise the cleansing oil will emulsifies and it won't be as effective).
  2. I massage my face around 1-2 minutes until my make-up dissolves with the cleansing oil.
  3. I add a little water (lukewarm is preferable) and keep massaging my face to emulsify the cleansing oil and then the oil will dissolve into milky consistency.
  4. After the oil has been emulsified I rinse my face with lots of water.
  5. Continue with second cleansing or light scrubbing.

Swatch:
On the pictures above I put bb cream, foundation, waterproof mascara, lip gloss, regular lipstick and long lasting lipstick, lip tint and blusher. I put about a pump over my hands and continue with the usual cleansing method. After I rinse all of the make-up are gone except the long lasting lipstick which still leave a red stain and the waterproof mascara. But then again the mascara is the Max Factor False Lash Effect Waterproof Mascara which is notoriously hard to clean. I'll just use eye make-up remover on it.

My Thoughts:
This cleaning oil has mineral oil so people with sensitive skin should note of it first. My skin is actually quite sensitive but so far I didn't experience any irritation or pore clogging (the usual effect of mineral oil) maybe because the other ingredients counteract it?? IDK.... As you can see from the swatches above it doesn't remove my waterproof mascara but maybe it'll remove other brand of waterproof mascara. I personally like to use separate eye make-up remover because I don't like the "cloudy eye syndrome" that happens when I try to remove eye make-up with a cleansing oil. I did use it several times though to clean my eye make-up when I want a faster cleansing and while it does give me the "cloudy eye" the oil itself doesn't sting my eyes or cause irritation on my eyes. You know I try cleansing mascara with an olive oil once but aside from giving me the cloudy eye it also stings like a &#$% so I never attempt on using it as an eye make-up remover ever again!! In terms of whitening though I don't feel any difference whatsoever although Rice Bran Oil does famous for it's whitening properties.

What I Like:
- Cleanses make-up well
- No irritation or clogged pore
- No breakout

What I Don't Like:
- Smells like mama lemon
- Causes cloudy eye (Just rinse well I guess)
